Sally WilsonJames Pittam
I am a sports podiatrist with extensive experience in the management and treatment of lower limb musculoskeletal and sports injuries. I have worked in both the public and private sectors in the UK, New Zealand and Canada. I enjoy treating all types of injuries but I have developed a special interest in sporting performance, injury prevention and the treatment of complex musculoskeletal problems. My goal is to identify the underlying cause of your pain and provide gold standard treatment to help you maximise your performance in sport, work and play.
Following a history taking, you will be taken through a series of specific functional and dynamic tests. This will highlight areas where there is either a restriction in joint motion or a lack of muscle strength. Where appropriate we will utilise gait analysis which may consist of a basic visual assessment, or a more detailed 2D video gait analysis.
What is a sports podiatrist?
A sports podiatrist specialises in the diagnosis and management of foot and lower limb problems with a particular focus on injuries associated with foot and lower limb function. A sports podiatrist will assess whether there are any mechanical imbalances that may be contributing to your injury.
